A furious number of mostly Asian protesters clashed with safety workers at a Brooklyn town hallway ending up in schools Chancellor Richard Carranza on Tuesday evening once they had been rejected entry.
Branding him divisive and anti-Asian, the combined team held a rally calling for his reduction in front of the District 22 gathering in Sheepshead Bay.
NYPD and Department of Education staffers told community that is fuming Linda Lam that her team’s indications had been prohibited within the conference and they couldn’t enter.
“He wanted to shut us up and shut us straight straight down,” Lam stated of Carranza, asserting that she yet others had been manhandled. “This sets a dangerous precedent to silence Asians or some other groups in opposition to their policy.”
Video shows Lam among others wanting to cope with a home into the crowded gathering at one point being actually obstructed.
“We are outraged only at that punishment of power,” she said.
Tuesday’s conference had been hosted by Community Education Council 22, that was tossed into debate just last year after an user, Jackie Cody, called Asians “yellow” in a contact sequence with parent leaders.
